According to a daily bulletin released by the Indian Meteorological Department, light to moderate rains were forecast in Gujarat on Monday in Banaskantha, Patan, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Mehsana, Ahmedabad, Navsari, Dang, Surat, Bharuch, Narmada and several districts of Saurashtra.
The meteorological department has forecast rains in many parts of North Gujarat, South Gujarat and Saurashtra from Wednesday to Thursday. Pre-monsoon activity has started across the state, according to the department.
Rains were also witnessed in Saurashtra and some parts of Kutch in Gujarat on Friday. Apart from this, many parts of India like neighboring state of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha in Maharashtra and some parts of Rajasthan received rains.

According to the meteorological department, heavy rains have been forecast in Navsari, Surat, Tapi, Dang, Valsad, Bharuch and Vadodara in South Gujarat as well as Bhavnagar, Amreli, Porbandar and Devbhoomi Dwarka in Saurashtra. Apart from this, heavy rains are also expected in Kutch. Gujarat has also been receiving torrential rains for the past one week in pre-monsoon activities.
